‘Summer of ’84’, a cross between ‘Stranger Things’ and ‘The Goonies’ perfect to start celebrating Halloween

The time has come to fully enter the week of Halloween 2025and although at MeriStation we recommend horror movies throughout the year, this time we have one that is perfect for the occasion, ‘Summer of 84’as it is set in a cozy American town, the plot focuses on a group of children and terror merges with an unmistakable sense of adventure. For this reason, many define it as a kind of mix between ‘The Goonies’ and ‘Stranger Things’. Next to nothing.
‘Summer of ’84’ has all the elements that one can expect after seeing the works with which this 2018 film is compared. A group of kids who have adventures every night, conspiracy theories, urban legends and the classic smartass who thinks he knows more than anyone. Well, in this case he does know more than the others, because He claims to see something strange in one of his neighbors: he thinks he is a serial killer!
To make matters worse, the neighbor in question is a police officer. A police officer who kills people after work? who knows? As soon as the boy shares his suspicions with the rest of the group, they all agree that it is best to hold a nighttime meeting to draw up an investigation plan. the movie, In addition to horror, it has a touch of sense of humor and all kinds of hilarious situations.
