The film “Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party of a Showgirl”, which follows behind the scenes and the creative process of the singer’s new album, topped the United States box office in its opening weekend, grossing approximately US$33 million (around R$175 million).

The production was shown in cinemas for three days, in a special event that coincided with the release of the album “The Life of a Showgirl”, reaching more than 3 thousand theaters in the USA and Canada, in addition to another 3,588 international theaters. In total, the film grossed US$46 million (R$245 million) at the global box office, including US$13 million (R$70 million) outside North America.

According to AMC Theatres, the film became the biggest debut album release in history, being the only one of its kind to reach the top of the domestic box office. Unlike the phenomenon “The Eras Tour”, launched in 2023 and focused on live performances, the new film delves into the behind-the-scenes, compositions and inspirations that gave life to Taylor Swift’s new musical era.
