Tesla Model y 2025 has Chinese car face and is more equipped

Launched in 2019, Tesla Model Y has not undergone any significant update. Until now. The electric car automaker officially released the Juniper restyling, with renewed design and a more refined interior.

The changes go beyond aesthetics, as the 2025 line of the world’s best -selling electric car is faster, silent and with greater electrical autonomy.

Updates in the interior and exterior

The visual renewal of the new Tesla Model y Juniper has as its main prominence the front, with divided headlights and an LED bar interconnecting them, totally inspired by Cybercab – however, made him a generic Chinese -car face. The bumper has air entrances at the ends and there is no emblem on the hood.

The rear lanterns were also unified and have new design. There are new appliqués on the bumper, but the rest follows the same.

Next to the new design, the size of the SUV has also changed. The length of the car is 4.1 cm longer, now having 4.79 m. In addition, the wheel set is now 20 inches and there is a new body color, named ‘Glacier Blue’.

The cabin keeps the minimalist design and already known in Tesla cars. Nevertheless, the Central InfoentReenity is slightly larger, with 15.4 ″ (against 15 ″ in the previous version). An extra 8 ″ screen has been added to passengers.

The panel, center console and doors were redesigned, with a new ambient lighting range and more sophisticated finishes in synthetic suede. Finally, gear selation is now integrated on the center screen and the audio system has been improved.

Tesla also refined the internal noise of Model Y, with some aerodynamic adjustments, new acoustic glass, adjusted suspension and less noise tires.

Improved mechanics

The Model Y Juniper has two available finish levels, one rear -wheel drive, 466 km of autonomy, and another full -wheel drive called Long Range, which can run up to 551 km. These numbers are 11 km and 18 km, respectively, larger than the previous model.

Although Tesla has not released the new specifications of its engines, both versions are slightly faster. Therefore, the models will probably have more power than the 213 hp of the RWD version and 351 hp from AWD.

According to the brand, the rear -wheel drive variant can now go from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, 1 according to its predecessor. While Long Range 4 × 4 reached the same speed in 4.3 seconds, 0.1 second faster. In both cases the speed It is electronically limited to 201 km/h, which is slower than before.

A new performance version will be released by Tesla in the coming months. It will have the same configuration as the 3 Performance Model with a double engine of 510 hp.

Model Y Juniper is now available on some Tesla sites in Asia and Pacific. Deliveries are expected to start between April or May. In Australia, the SUV is available for $ 240,000, in the rear -wheel drive variant, and $ 275 in the whole -wheel drive version.
