The Chevrolet Silverado EV of 2025 offers more autonomy

The new price should make the vehicle more affordable for more buyers. The new Max Range finish, which begins at $ 77,795 (approximately 71,000 euros), reaches an estimated EPA autonomy of 492 miles (approximately 792 kilometers), far exceeding all other electric trucks.

The fact that GM offers such a long autonomy may be due to the fact that many customers also use their vehicles to drag trailers, since InsideEVs suspicion. Real autonomy decreases considerably with a caravan or boat trailer, so standard autonomy without a trailer must be especially high.

“Truck customers tell us that autonomy is one of the main barriers to consider a VE. The Silverado EV 2024 was already the leader in autonomy, and for this new model we have put the bar even higher,” said Scott Bell, Vice President of Chevrolet.

The manufacturer also introduces a new variant of the model called LT. “Both the LT with serial content and with the LT Premium package have a price that allows customers to meet the requirements opt for federal tax relief,” GM emphasizes. The LT finish of “extended autonomy” offers 408 miles of autonomy according to the EPA (approx. 657 km).

“A second entrance barrier is the price, so we are fortifying the Silverado EV line offering more options,” said Bell. “By 2025, we are introducing an LT finish, offering a more affordable RST package and expanding the WT offer. This increase in capacity and accessibility is great news for segment, industry and brand.”

The variant with more autonomy is the ‘Work Truck Max Range’, which can travel up to 492 miles with a single load, according to the EPA. It comes with a considerable price label of $ 77,795, so it is $ 20,700 more expensive than the ‘Standard Range’ finish.
