The filming of ‘Avatar 4’ hangs by a thread, and James Cameron assures that “first we have to make some money with this one”
It cannot be said that James Cameron has not made it clear, throughout the presentation of ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’, the conditions that had to occur no matter what to continue with the saga: basically, make profits by raising a crazy amount of money (some say a minimum of 1000 million, some say something more, but the figure is pure speculation). At the moment, the film has almost 400 million worldwide in just four days, and the only question is how far its power will go.

The world has changed. We all know the statistics, where the theatrical release is. It’s been a bad year. It’s starting to pick up with a couple of recent releases: ‘Wicked 2’ has done well, and ‘Zootopia 2’ is doing well. So we’ll see.
With the Christmas holidays upon us, the logical thing is that the third installment of ‘Avatar’ rises even more, and remains at number 1 worldwide for a long time. Cameron, in fact, has already relaxed a bit after the premiere: “It’s a good first step. People are responding well. “I haven’t seen it with a large audience before the premiere, because we’ve done small press screenings, and I’m not going to those.”. Will it be enough to justify one of the most million-dollar budgets in the history of cinema? Time will tell.
