Paramount Pictures released the first trailer for The Primatenew horror film directed by Johannes Roberts, known for Deep Fear e Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City. The preview, released on October 16, shows the claustrophobic atmosphere and pure tension that surrounds a family on a tropical vacation that turns into a nightmare.
Animal horror and survival
The plot follows Lucy, who returns from college to spend time with her family — including her pet chimpanzee, Ben. What seemed like a relaxing trip quickly takes a dark turn when the animal goes into a rage and puts everyone in danger. The group must fight for survival on a night marked by brutal attacks and despair.
The premise evokes the physical and psychological terror typical of Roberts’ productions, who has already demonstrated a talent for exploring confinement and the growing tension between isolated characters.
