‘The Ugly Stepsister’, by Emilie Blichfeldt, wins the award for best film at the Sitges Festival
Sitges (Barcelona), Oct 18 (EFE).- The film ‘The Ugly Step Sister’, by Norwegian director Emilie Blichfeldt, has won the award for best feature film at the Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival, its director, Ángel Sala, and the director of the foundation announced this Saturday … organizer of the contest, Mònica Garcia. For their part, ‘The Furious’ and ‘Obsession’ have received the special jury prize ex aequo, while the award for best direction went to South Korean director Park Chan-wook for the film ‘No other choice’. Other notable awards include the award for best female performance, which was won by Australian actress Rose Byrne for ‘If I Could, I’d Kick You’, while the award for best male performance was awarded to the group of child actors in ‘The Plague’.
