This Spider-Man doesn’t want to return to the MCU
Avengers: Doomsday will bring together countless superheroes from Marvel Studios, with lots of unexpected returns, including names that are not even part of the Marvel cinematic universe, but were present in previous attempts to explore it in cinemas.
However, one of the many Spider-Mans, who has been in the MCU since the film No Way Home, does not seem at all interested in returning for Avengers: Doomsday, or is too afraid of Marvel Studios to even think about talking about that possibility.
Andrew Garfield participated in a recent GQ special and answered several questions, including whether he will return as Spider-Man in Avengers: Doomsday, something to which he replied “no, unequivocally not shit.”
It’s worth bearing in mind that Garfield also firmly denied that he would be in Spider-Man: No Way Home and we all know how that went. Furthermore, the actor has confessed in the past that he would like to return to the role of Peter Parker, but he would only do so if it was something different, with the same creative freedom seen in animated films.
