In the film, the charismatic magician Atlas (Eisenberg) and his company dazzle the Las Vegas public by robbing a bank belonging to a shady tycoon (Michael Caine) on the other side of the world and distributing the stolen money among the spectators, all under the watchful eyes of the astonished audience. But this also draws the attention of the FBI. Agent Dylan (Mark Ruffalo) and French Interpol agent Alma (Mélanie Laurent) are assigned to the case, but they distrust each other. After the box office success of the film, Lionsgate was quick to confirm the sequel to Now you see me…which was first going to have Leterrier at the helm again but was finally directed by Jon M. Chu.
