The American authorities responsible for transport in transport are currently undergoing the Ford F-150 from 2015 to 2017 to a gearbox problem.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) defects in the National Highway Traffic Surveys received nearly 140 drivers complaints that claim that their retrograde van in an unintentionally and unexpected manner.

Almost 1.3 million F-150 could be found in this situation, only in the United States.

It is not specified at this stage if and how many accidents could have been directly caused by this transmission problem.

By the way, as the targeted models cover the years 2015 to 2017, it is assumed that the automatic transmission in question is that with six-speed, because the new ten-speed box only appeared in 2017 and only with the 3.5-liter Ecoboost V6 before spreading in the range of F-150 from 2018.

The NHTSA will determine if a more in -depth investigation is necessary and, possibly, a recall. It goes without saying that F-150 will be affected in Canada as well. The most likely scenario is a visit to a dealer to update the software of the transmission module.

Hoping that the work is well done and that the fix works, which was not the case with several recent Ford reminders.
