Tremembé: who is Suzane von Richthofen’s husband, doctor, father of 4, who faced family and gave his surname to the former inmate

Felipe Zecchini Muniz, 40 years old, is Suzane von Richthofen’s current husband and father of her first child. Doctor and resident of Bragança Paulista, in the interior of São Paulo, he has lived with Suzane since the former inmate left the semi-open regime and began serving her sentence on parole, in January 2023. >

Felipe is 42 years old and lived in a stable union from 2009 until 2019 with doctor Sílvia Constantino Franco, with whom he had three daughters, aged 9, 14 and 15. Since the separation, the doctor has sole custody of the girls, who also live in Bragança Paulista. >

The relationship with Suzane led to family conflicts: according to reports, the doctor’s ex-partner did not want the criminal to live with her stepchildren, which would have caused tension at the beginning of the relationship. Despite the resistance, the couple maintained their union and started living together.>

In September 2023, Sílvia went to court asking for custody of her daughters to be reversed, stating that she was acting out of a “protective instinct” after discovering, through social media, that her ex-husband was in a relationship with Suzane von Richthofen. The court, however, denied the preliminary injunction, stating that there is no evidence that the girls are at risk or that living with Suzane compromises their well-being. The decision highlighted that it would be “premature and reckless to change the children’s routine abruptly” and determined that a psychosocial study should be carried out before any change.>

The case gained great national repercussion and exposed details of the new phase of Suzane’s life, as she tries to rebuild her story away from the spotlight. In January 2024, she gave birth to the couple’s first child, a boy named Felipe, in honor of his father, at Albert Sabin Hospital, in Atibaia. The baby was not given the surname “von Richthofen”, in an attempt to protect the child’s identity and remove the stigma of the name involved in one of the country’s most well-known crimes. With her marriage, Suzane also abandoned her surname and began to introduce herself as Suzane Louise Magnani Muniz.>

Today, Suzane and Felipe live discreetly in the interior of São Paulo. She adopted her husband’s surname and started signing as Suzane Louise Magnani Muniz. While the doctor continues working in the health sector, Suzane dedicates herself to her young son and maintains a private routine, away from public life and controversy.>
