Verdone and the entire cast of Vita da Carlo 4 arrive
The twentieth edition of the Rome Film Festival closes on Sunday 26 October. After 11 days of films, masterclasses, red carpets and events spread throughout the city, the event’s machinery dates back to 2026, but not before welcoming a great master of Italian cinema: Carlo Verdone.
Carlo Verdone and Vita da Carlo 4 at the Rome Film Festival
At 9 pm in the Sala Sinopoli of the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone, the first four episodes of the final season of Vita da Carlo by Carlo Verdone and Valerio Vestoso, one of the most popular Italian series of recent years, will be presented. After the sensational gaffe in Sanremo and the subsequent media pillory, Carlo (Carlo Verdone) chooses to retire to Nice. Away from the spotlight, he rediscovers the pleasure of slow days and the relief of walking without being recognized. When the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia offers him the director’s chair, he accepts with renewed energy: his students are six young talents. Between generational gaps, misunderstandings and inevitable conflicts with producers and colleagues, Carlo guides them in the creation of a collective film on loneliness, intertwining their voices with those of his experience. In this journey, the great director rediscovers not only the profound sense of the craft, but also the discreet joy of observing the world with curious eyes, free from the weight of other people’s attention.
