Romantic comedy has a Christmas plot starring Olivia Holt and Connor Swindells
Happy Heist is the highlight of Netflix this Sunday, the 30th, after taking the top spot in the ranking of most watched films on the platform. The production is a recently released romantic comedy and is catching the attention of subscribers amid the wave of Christmas titles.
The plot follows Sophia, played by Olivia Holta young woman trying to balance two jobs. Exhausted from her routine and pressured by the end of the year, she works at the traditional Sterlings department store, where she tries to get some financial breathing room.
Frustrated with dealing with a mean-spirited boss, Sophia crosses paths with Nick (Connor Swindells), hired to modernize the security system at the store where she works, but was never paid for the service. United by the same feeling of injustice, the two see a chance to turn the tide.
The plan? Rob the department store, located in London, where the boss keeps a large sum of money during the Christmas period. The partnership, however, is not limited to the initial objective and, throughout the preparation for the coup, both reveal secrets and discover an unexpected harmony.
In addition to Olivia and Connor, the cast includes Lucy Punch e Peter Serafinowicz. Happy Heist is directed by Michael Fimognari and written by Abby McDonald.
