When Is Jason Statham’s ‘Mutiny’ Opening?
EXCLUSIVE: Lionsgate has dated its upcoming Jean-François Richet-directed action movie Mutiny with Jason Statham for August 21, 2026.
In Mutinyafter witnessing his billionaire boss’ murder and being framed for the crime, Cole Reed (Statham) boards a cargo ship on a one-man crusade to avenge his boss’ death only to discover an international conspiracy.
Pic also stars Annabelle Wallis, Roland Møller, Ramon Tikaram, Arnas Fedaravičius, Jason Wong and Adrian Lester. Lindsay Michel and J.P. Davis wrote the screenplay. Producers are Marc Butan and Statham.
Currently on that August date next year, Sony and Blumhouse have the next Insidious movie.
Statham has a long-running relationship with Lionsgate having starred in The Expendables movies, Operation Fortune: Ruse of War, The Transporter franchise, The Bank Job and The Crank titles.
