The long-awaited fifth installment of the ogre franchise, Shrek 5continues generating news. Initially scheduled for July 1, 2026the date was changed by the DreamWorks Animation studio.
It was later announced that its premiere would be moved to December 23, 2026taking advantage of the Christmas season. However, according to a recent report, the delivery has had a new delay and will now arrive in theaters on June 30, 2027.

As for the cast, the original voices return: Mike Myers as Shrek, Cameron Diaz as Fiona, and Eddie Murphy as Donkey. Additionally, star Zendaya joins in playing Felicia, daughter of Shrek and Fiona.
