Who would win between the Na’vi from Avatar and the Xenomorph from Alien? James Cameron’s response
While the takings of Avatar: Fire and Ashes begin to replicate the so-called ‘James Cameron effect’ at the box office, we tell you a nice curiosity linked to the Na’vi of Pandora and to another famous science fiction saga, that of Alien.
As you know, unlike the Avatar franchise, that of Alien was not created by James Cameron but by his colleague and friend Ridley Scott; However, the author of Titanic and Terminator left an indelible mark on the history of the xenomorphs by creating the action masterpiece Aliens, the second episode of the franchise, and since then Cameron, like Scott, is considered a reference figure by fans of the saga.
For this reason, many fans still ask themselves today: Who would win between the Na’vi and the xenomorphs? For this question there is an answer that came directly from James Cameron, which dates back to an interview recorded at the time of the release of the first Avatar film, in 2009. At the time, the author responded as follows:
“The Na’vi are tough, the Na’vi are tough and resourceful. Of course, they have to be careful about alien acid, that’s true. But the Na’vi can shoot xenomorphs from afar with their bows, you know. I don’t know, I don’t know if this detail is understood in the film, but their arrows are about two meters long and go at about 240 km/h, so they can hit the xenomorphs without letting them get closer…The Na’vi would win against the xenomorphs, and easily too. It’s not even remotely comparable, there’s just no competition.”
