Wild Lands has the best box office in the history of the saga
Predator: Wildlands has just become the biggest release in the history of the franchise, which opened in 1987 with the Arnold Schwarzenegger. The film debuted grossing almost US$80 million worldwide.
The number was reached with US$40 million raised in the United States, plus US$40 million in the rest of the world – including in Brazil, where the film debuted behind only The Secret Agent. The brand puts the new film above the remake Predatorfrom 2018, which raised US$73.5 million. It is worth noting that the success is also due to the fact that the new film has a lower rating compared to its predecessors, in order to reach a larger audience.

All about the new Predator
The film stars Elle Fanning and Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi, and is set in the future, on a remote planet, where a young Predator, excluded from his clan, finds an unlikely ally in Thia (Fanning), a synthetic from Weyland-Yutani (the film company Alien) and embarks on a treacherous journey in search of the final adversary.
The work is directed by Dan Trachtenberg and produced by John Davis, Dan Trachtenberg, Marc Toberoff, Ben Rosenblatt and Brent O’Connor.
In addition to this film, Trachtenberg, who directed a period story centered on a Native American woman fighting the Predator in Predator: The Hunt in 2022, it also released an animated film from the franchise directly on Disney+.
